Fierce and Cuddly!

My former roommate and lifetime friend, Lori, and I are trying to go see Beyonce when she comes to DC. Tickets go on sale on Saturday. This morning, Lori tried to win us tickets on the radio. She's awesome.

Why are we so jet set on going? Well, in college, we loved Beyonce. May I also say that before college and after college, we loved and still love Beyonce. It all started with Destiny's Child. Then Ms. Knowles was quoted as saying "When I shake my butt I feel it in my soul." and it was over. We were sold. Lori and I love to dance and we were so inspired by her we printed out pictures of her to put in our apartment because they were so fun.

So here's hoping we get good prices/ seats. If anyone knows how we can get a deal, let me know! Until then, I'll just be jammin' to her song "Radio" as my ringtone!

And on a completely unrelated note: how adorable does the new Disney movie, Earth, look? If you're answer is completely then you and I are in agreement. I mean really... little ducks learning how to fly... baby polar bears cuddling with their Momma... melt my heart why dontcha!

If you see the movie, please let me know what you thought! It comes out in theaters today, Earth Day 2009. What are you doing to give back to our planet?

P.S. How CUTE is this movie poster??? Look at his little (read: gigantic) toes!

HAHAHAHA! that Beyoncé quote is priceless!

I know what you mean though, I have been a huge fan of hers ever since the early days of destiny's child (the original version).

good luck with the tickets!

Welp I didn't buy the tickets. I wanted a new computer too badly. Plus her latest CD, while a-may-zing, isn't my fav, so I'll wait until her next one blows me away and see her when she's touring that record.

And yes, the quote is priceless. I used it many a time as my AIM away message in college (ya know, sometimes you had to use a quote when you were too busy to think of anything else) and my dad got worried! ha!
