My father and I play online Scrabble together. First we played on Scrabulous.com until it go shut down by the Scrabble bosses. Now we play on Lexulous.com.
He and I have been super close my whole life. My mother and I have been, too, I'm her Baby Duck. But my Daddy and I have a special connection. I've always been his "Meggie Poo", hence the name of my blog. My sisters are also close with my Dad. I think he's just a good Daddy to us and always has been. He used to make us milkshakes every night before we went to bed... he is that kind of Dad :)
I love playing Scrabble with him online because even though we're a few hours away we can enjoy each others company just the same.
I was telling a co-worker the other day that some of my favorite moments are when I'm visiting home and he comes inside (my father is an outside being, he thrives on the fresh air) and tells me to "Come outside quick! You gotta see this...". I love the adventures he asks me and my sisters to go on with him. I grew up on a modest farm with chickens, ducks, cats and dogs... sometimes a goat or a cow, too. Because of that animal lineup, you know our adventures were cool...
I just played a word in Lexulous.com online Scrabble and had a moment where I wanted to share with anyone and everyone who reads this blog how great my Father is and how much I love him.
Thanks, Dad! It's your turn in Scrabble!

Aw it's always the little things that remind you of the bigger picture!
That is the sweetest blog posting. You and your dad sound like two peas in a pod. Which is also a peasecod in case you need another word for Scrabble.
By the way, my nickname growing up was Poo Bear... seriously.
@DMBoss- Yes, it really is.
@Petals- I love that word but unfortunately all my letters are VOWELS right now! My Dad is killing me :) Thanks for reading my blog, though, Poo Bear.
My dad used to read to me every night- long after I was able to read myself- and called me "Pumpkin Head".
There ain't nothing like a good daddy, is there?
Awww, this is so sweet! <3 it!
I love those moments when it just hits you that your father is just...awesome. I'm glad you had such a great Dad.
